CATR's approach to Equine Assisted Activities & Therapies (EAAT) is modeled after the PATH Intl. methods of providing services to individuals with disabilities. EAAT offered at CATR include therapeutic riding, interactive vaulting and groundwork with horses. We offer group and private lessons to individuals and accommodate groups of learners through our Veterans Program, Public School Program and Group Field Trips. Students with disabilities range from ages 4 and up. Our certified instructors aim to strengthen individual abilities and improve skills related to both horsemanship and life goals.
Lessons are held Monday through Saturday at Brickhouse Equestrian Center, a beautiful 43-acre farm located on Hamilton Road on Johns Island, SC.
Currently, our sessions are as follows:
Fall Session - 12 weeks - September - December
Spring Session - 12 weeks - February - May
Summer Session - 6 weeks - June - July
